- Information: School Performance & Graduation Rates
- Diamond Ridge achieved 87.4% graduation rate for class of 2025 (highest ever)
- Exceeded goal of 2% increase by 11.4%
- Outperformed Hillcrest and Jordan High Schools
- COVID impact on class of 2024
- Students were 9th graders when pandemic hit
- Lost last semester/quarter of 2020
- Many didn’t attend during 2021 distance learning
- All district graduation rates dropped 1.5% for this cohort
- Current year performance (first half)
- School-wide graduation rate: 94%
- School-wide attendance: ~90% (up from 69% last year)
- School-wide GPA: just under 3.0
- School Plans: Mini-Term Implementation Success
- New system launched this year with 18 of 21 staff votes in favor
- Student behavior transformation
- Students focused on grades rather than just credit recovery
- High engagement and happiness levels
- Reduced behavior management issues (10% of previous year’s problems)
- Attendance policy changes
- Students with below C grade must attend Fridays
- Drop students for poor attendance instead of giving F grades
- Students can’t game the system like previous years
- Curriculum delivery improvements
- Teachers covering full content (previously cut due to absences)
- AI program converted all curriculum guides to mini-term format
- Students building endurance but struggling mid-year

Upcoming Events & Goals
- Graduation moved to Thursday, May 28 (from Wednesday, May 27)
- Conflict with other district high school graduations
- Board members want to attend Diamond Ridge ceremony
- Next year’s graduation rate goal: 89% (match district average)
- Proposed meetings scheduled for remainder of school year:
- Tuesday, March 10 6:00 pm
- Will present spending plan for remaining funds
- Official vote on school improvement plan
