Dear Diamond Ridge Families:
We hope this finds you doing well! Diamond Ridge has some happy and important news to share! Friday, April 30, 2020 is fourth quarter mid-terms. We hope you are accessing Skyward and your Raptor’s grades. Online school can be difficult and frustrating and to encourage and help students succeed, CSD’s Board of Education has adjusted the grading scale for this quarter:
- A = 85 – 100%
- B = 70 – 84.9%
- P = 45 – 69.9%
- I = Incomplete
What does this mean for your student?! It means with minimal effort (45%) they are able to pass ALL classes in which they are enrolled! We don’t want your student discouraged and overwhelmed and with these changes, passing and receiving credit is easily within reach! (Skyward might not indicate changes immediately!)
The Board also voted to have MAY 15, 2020, be the LAST DAY for new content. This gives students two (2) weeks to catch-up and/or make-up assignments to pass each class before the end of the school year – May 29, 2020. (Seniors must have all credits completed by Wednesday, May 20, 2020. Graduation details will be coming soon!)
Chromebooks, Hot Spots & Internet
Diamond Ridge still has Chromebooks available for check out! We are attempting to acquire more hot spots, but are out at this time. Please see below for internet resources!
COVID-19
Health Tips in 16 Different Languages: What is social distancing? How do I know if I have COVID-19? The State has created a web portal where you can obtain answers to these health-related questions, and more: https://coronavirus.utah.gov/multilingual-resources/.
Testing: The University of Utah Health & Wellness Bus will be conducting COVID-19 testing three days a week from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the following locations:
- Tuesday: Park Community Center in South Salt Lake
- Thursday: Sorenson Unity Center in Glendale
- Friday: Mid-Valley Health Center in Midvale

Economic Stimulus Information
Anyone receiving federal benefits who did NOT file a tax return in 2018 or 2019 and has dependents, needs to submit the dependent information by April 22 to add the $500 per eligible child amount to these payments. Please see below for further details and links!
Food Bank
Diamond Ridge has food and hygiene supplies available! Our Main Office is open daily from 9:00 – 11:00 AM with access to the Food Bank and the Food Bank is open Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Please don’t hesitate to get things for yourself, family or friends!
