Minutes
1. Welcome

2. Principal and Counselor Reports – Amy and Suzy reported out on current happenings at
DRHS, including that the Junior Career and College Readiness (CCR) plans will be happening in
third quarter.

3. Review Digital Citizenship Plan – Louie provided a comprehensive report on teacher and
student training on our Digital Citizenship Plan. Louie discussed how CSD provides online
filtering and supervision, student Digital citizenship lesson at the beginning of the school year,
parent resources, faculty digital citizenship and future developments in digital literacy.

4. Review School Safety Plan – after discussing the situation last week with 2 guns on campus,
Amy presented the six areas of school safety programming at DRHS: Student orientation school
safety discussion, school evacuation and safety drills, SafeUT app and suicide prevention
student training, weekly Advisory lesson focusing on restorative circles, ROCK school rules, and
monthly newsletters with Digital Literacy and other safety reminders. The SCC decided that the
greatest safety concern at DRHS was student drug (marijuana) use, followed by concerns about
social media use among students. We also discussed the need to specify and better educate
students on situations they should consider anonymously reporting on the SafeUT app,
including that multiple students knew about two guns being on campus and did not report it.

5. Next SCC Meeting is Tuesday January 12th at 6:00 pm. Agenda items include that we will
review student RI and MI data and progress.
